General questions
According to which management system is Kläger SPC certified?
Our integrated certified process complies with ISO 14001 (environmental management), ensuring that we meet customer requirements, standards, and legal obligations. We also align our quality expertise and customer services precisely with the requirements of the IATF 16949 regulations. More information about our quality standards can be found here.
How long does the development of a project take?
It is not possible to give a general answer regarding the duration of a development project. If the inquiry concerns an injection-molded part for which we already have extensive experience and the design is already optimized for the injection molding process, an offer can often be prepared within a week. In urgent cases, we respond flexibly and can often provide an initial estimate within a day. Inquiries involving assemblies and complex processes may require significantly longer quotation preparation. However, it is definitely worth investing time to ensure that the fundamentals are right and implementation runs as smoothly as possible afterward.
What materials are used in Kläger SPC products?
We process high-performance plastics such as PPS for products requiring robust materials. We also manufacture innovative hybrid components. These highly complex plastic-metal assemblies consist of at least two different materials.
In which industries are Kläger SPC products used?
For more than 30 years, our products have been used in the automotive sector. We also serve industries such as defense, mobility in general (rail and aerospace, agricultural machinery, commercial vehicles), and many other industrial sectors.
Further information on possible application areas can be found here.
What is the core competence of Kläger SPC?
We have many years of expertise in hybrid technology, meaning the combination of plastic and metal. In addition, we process high-performance plastics such as PPS, PEEK, and PPA, among others, and specialize in complex tooling and manufacturing technologies.
What quality services does Kläger SPC offer?
- Process FMEA
- Comprehensive manufacturability evaluations with proactive improvement suggestions
- Sampling according to IATF 16949 (EMPB and PPAP)
- Process monitoring and production-accompanying quality control
- Individual contact person or customer-specific quality manager
What can the high-performance plastic PPS do?
PPS is a material category at the top of the plastics pyramid. Compared to conventional plastics, this material is more reliable and can withstand major temperature differences, extreme pressure, and even aggressive chemicals such as brake fluid.
What is special about working with Kläger SPC?
We support the entire process – customers benefit from our in-house development and design department. The close cooperation between project management and production keeps our processes lean, fast, and efficient. In addition, our many years of expertise in hybrid technology, i.e., the combination of plastic and metal, set us apart.
Are the products available from stock?
No, our products are always manufactured specifically according to customer requirements.
What is insert molding technology?
Threaded inserts, connectors, contacts, or shafts are overmolded with plastic. This process is carried out either manually or fully automated in series production using robots. Modern processing, automation, and quality assurance technologies make it possible to combine the advantages of metal and plastic in a robust, integrated assembly.
